1. Cambodia’s border with Thailand is governed by internationally recognized treaties dating back more than a century. Disputes must be resolved by law, not by force.
2. Cambodia relies on the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC), agreed by both countries, to resolve border issues peacefully. Force must play no role in this dispute.
3. From the start of the Thai military aggression, Cambodia has chosen restraint, dialogue, and legal process over escalation.
4. The Cambodia–Thailand Joint Statement commits both sides to de-escalation and civilian protection. Cambodia is honoring it through restraint, not force.
5. International borders cannot be changed by unilateral aggression. Cambodia’s position is anchored in international law and long-standing bilateral agreements.
6. The Joint Boundary Commission must reconvene so technical surveys and demarcation work can resume. This is the lawful path to resolving border issues peacefully.
