The presence of national and international journalists along the border has brought the truth from Cambodia to the world. Numerous international news agencies have been on the ground in Cambodia since day one, during the period when the Thai military carried out armed acts of aggression against Cambodia.
We extend our sincere thanks to international news agencies such as AFP, AP, Reuters, EPA, Xinhua, CNA, Al Jazeera, Phoenix, and many other international media organizations that have disseminated reports through major outlets including CNN, France 24, Le Monde, the BBC, Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, The Times, The Independent , and others. Special appreciation goes to Cambodian national journalists who have worked tirelessly to report from the provinces that have become active conflict zones.
Cambodia National Radio and Television, along with the Agence Kampuchea Presse (AKP), have played a central role as the main hubs for frontline information. Private radio and television stations and other new media platforms have also actively contributed to news coverage, including independent journalists, social media influencers, and online content creators.
All of you are voices of truth, bringing facts to counter falsehoods. Cambodia remains ready to welcome more international journalists to report from the country. The Ministry of Information has given the highest priority and consideration to the safety of journalists during the conflict. Officials from the Ministry have actively facilitated reporting missions and interviews with relevant authorities.
At the same time, I would like to express my deep sympathy to a Cambodian journalist who was injured while reporting on the morning of December 8, after being struck by shrapnel that caused an injury to the mouth. I wish them a speedy recovery.
