Our full trust and confidence are with our Cambodian leaders and our heroic troops on the frontline
What have both countries gained from this conflict, asides from destructions, loss of lives, livelihood affected that will need to be restored, including the future of our children affected by the impact of this conflict.
Yesterday’s event “March for Peace” is for all sides to consider the very question above “if there is no benefit to anyone, why not bring an end to this conflict”? Prolonging this conflict will only cause more destructions, break families apart on both sides, more pain and sufferings on both sides, will impact on our two countries economically as well as our people livelihood.
We are calling for ‘Peace’ knowing that after 7 months, all that happened have caused physical, emotional and psychological damages, leading to anger and distrust, which no doubt will require time to heal, and that’s the reason more why it is important for Cambodians and Thais people together, we must call for ‘Peace’, to end the ongoing conflict, going back to negotiating table as agreed during the October 26th joint declaration in Kuala Lampur, begins the healing process between our two people and forward with reconciliation and co-existence as we have done so for hundred of years.
The ‘March for Peace’ is not to find which side is at fault, but rather is to focus on the lives loss, the unnecessary destructions that will impact on people’s livelihood and future generations of the two Kingdom.
