I would like to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for the extraordinary courage and heroism of the frontline Cambodian soldiers, who have selflessly sacrificed their lives and shed their blood to protect the sovereignty of our homeland.
In movies, anyone can become a hero, but in real life, it is a sacrifice beyond measure leaving behind family, parents, spouses, and children, giving one’s own life in exchange for peace, for the birthright of this motherland.
I also wish to share my heartfelt condolences with the families of these heroic soldiers who have lost their beloved husbands, fathers, and children. I hope that the ultimate sacrifice of our heroes will allow Cambodia to preserve its territorial sovereignty, bring peace back to our people, and that they will forever be remembered as heroes, engraved in the history and hearts of all generations of Khmer people.
